Info & Weather

The mountains are a fascinating environment but require attention and preparation. Before starting the tour, carefully plan your outing: it is important to check trail conditions and the weather, and always wear appropriate clothing.

Even in the mountains, remember that you have responsibilities.
Following the rules and walking safely means protecting yourself, others, and the nature around you.

The Tour des Six is generally accessible from June 15th to September 15th.

In June, after heavy spring snowfall, some sections of the trail may still be snow-covered.

How to pack your backpack

Place bulky items and things you won’t need during the climb (change of clothes, evening wear, toiletries) at the bottom.

In the middle, close to your back, place the heaviest items.

On top, keep what you will need during the hike (jacket, gloves, water bottle, snacks, sweatshirt).

Use the outer pockets for small and handy items (sunglasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, etc.).

Upon arrival, the Snow&Feelings agency will provide you with a sleeping bag liner and a technical towel to carry with you during the tour.

Remember that along the route you will sleep in mountain huts, where not all comforts are always available (such as hairdryers or slippers).
We therefore recommend equipping yourself with the essentials to fully enjoy your high-altitude experience!
