The Ayas Valley borders the Gressoney Valley to the east and Valtournenche to the west.<\/p>

From the profiles of the gentler slopes, rich in coniferous forests and meadows, the Ayas valley ends on the border ridge where the westernmost part of the great Monte Rosa chain rises with Western Breithorn 4165m<\/b>, Central Breithorn 4156m<\/b>, Eastern Breithorn 4141m<\/b>, Pollux 4084m<\/b> and Castor 4221m<\/b>.<\/p>

The Evan\u00e7on creek rises from the Verra Glacier<\/b> and flows through the valley. Numerous alpine lakes are also accessible via easy hikes, such as Blue Lake at the foot of the glacier’s moraine, and Lakes Pinter<\/b>, Palasinaz<\/b>, Bringuez<\/b>, Litteran<\/b>, and Frudi\u00e8re<\/b>, immersed in a unique alpine environment.<\/p>

This valley, in addition to being the starting point of the Tour des Six, is home to four huts that are part of the tour: the Ferraro, the Grand Tournalin, the Vieux Crest, and the Arp, which welcome and refresh hikers with cordiality.<\/p>

The area is also home to the vast Monterosa Ski resort<\/b>, which connects the Ayas Valley with the Gressoney Valley and extends as far as Valsesia in Piedmont.<\/p>

The Ayas Valley is the \u201cbirthplace\u201d of gold mines<\/b>, a precious metal extracted since ancient times from the tunnels of Brusson, as well as from the pyrite and native gold mines of Bechaz.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
